In dark times, while we can’t see ahead, we can still listen clearly.
That’s why exploring themes of belonging through sound is important right now.

Sono-Electro is a festival dedicated to sound art taking place in West St Leonards, inviting artists and audiences alike to examine their relationship with place through hyper-local interventions that touch on broader global environmental narratives.

In one year, the festival has skyrocketed from a crowd-funded, four-day festival that brought together a handful of talented local artists into a two-week event supported locally by the likes of Hastings Commons and funded on a national level by the Arts Council.

Local experimental and underground music champions: Sonics Hastings and Sonic storytelling platform: XMTR, are guest curating the line-up for Saturday 21st and Saturday 28th September
