The Dino

This is a piece which I wrote and performed on a very unique instrument (pictured) designed by Royal College of Art student, Une Yea.

The instrument had all the qualities you'd hope for: multiple tones and timbres, a little unpredictability, and a very distinctive sound. Not to mention, a lot of fun to play and look at.

It was the first time that this instrument had been played, and to me it sounded much like a little creature coming to life. This thought is what became the form of the piece.
